This unit will not operate on 1156 bulbs. I received both,LED and 1156 bulbs When the 1156 bulb is used, the unit will not come on. Switched to LED lights and it works fine but, not as bright as the old unit. Instructions for the lay person not clear but, with help, got it installed.I found customer service confusing so,I got outside help.

This product (and company) is great. Well put together, easy to modify (I shortened a few inches) and with the 30 led per bulb quad, looks wonderful. A very nice accent and functional as a light as well. Not overbearing. Highly reccomend this product.

I have one of these in my front yard. It is featured on the website with a quad LED bulb tree. I leave it on 24/7 and It looks great!

I ordered the double bulb tree for a gaslight conversion. I appreciate the video's that Charm-lite made that walks you through the process. The hardest part of the whole endeavor was removing the old gaslight stem--it just would not screw off. I opted for the 12V wiring because I wanted to connect the new gaslight conversion to my existing 12V landscape lighting. I used two LED bulbs and found that they were as bright as the gaslights they replaced! The double tree copper does look very nice in the fixture.

I work for an electrical contractor in the St. Louis, Missouri area and without question, this "bulb tree" is by far the best one I have used. We have installed a similar looking tree but the main stem was a rolled paper product with a copper color wrap or spray paint coating. Also the "U" shaped socket holder comes apart from that paper stem and needs to be re-glued. We have also installed bulb trees by "other" internet companies that are NOT the full copper design, rather a black plastic top that doesn't dissipate the heat from the lamps very well shortening bulb life. The Charm-Lite tree is by far the BEST one on the market that I am aware of.
This will be the BULB TREE of choice for my gas lamp conversion business.
